Bill Ackman is an American billionaire investor and hedge fund manager. He is the founder and CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management, a hedge fund management company.

Ahead of the 2020 stock market crash, Ackman hedged Pershing Square’s portfolio, investing $27 million to purchase credit protection, insuring the portfolio against steep market losses. Pershing Square first disclosed the hedge on March 3, 2020.

His profit was $2.6 Billion on the hedge against stronger companies but based on the upcoming Covid Pandemic situation.

His current portfolio —

$LOW — Lowe’s Cos
$QSR — Restaurant Brands International
$CMG — Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.
$HLT — Hilton Worldwide Holdings
$HHC — Howard Hughes Corp
$CP — Canadian Pacific Railway
